People who find themselves dealing with puppy biting behavior tend to have absolutely no idea on how to get their puppy to stop biting. All they know is that they are tired of dealing with these issues. One important thing that you have to understand is that all puppies bit.

It is up to you the pet owner to teach them about puppy obedience without causing them to become scared of you. It is important that you teach your dog that it is never acceptable to bite the skin of anyone. In fact if your pup begins to bite you playfully; it is important that you begin teaching them that you do not approve of their behavior.

Let’s look at a couple of ways to instill puppy obedience training.

1. Consistency: One of the main reasons that most pet owners do not get the results that they are looking for is because they are not consistent in their behavior. It is up to all the members in your household to teach your pup that you do not want them biting. If all of you are not teaching her that it is bad; then she will not learn how you want her to behave.

2. Toys: Have plenty of dog toys around that will enable her to chew and bite on something.

3. Water Bottle: Fill a water bottle up and whenever she begins biting you; squirt her with water. Eventually she will begin to understand that the behavior is not wanted.

Here is a list of things you do not want to do to while trying to implement puppy obedience training.

1. Never Hit Her: I know that it can become frustrating when dealing with a puppy that keeps biting; however it is important to know that every pup is going to bite when they reach 16 weeks old.

2. Never Yell: The last thing that you want to do is cause your pup to become scare of you and not listen. Yes it is normal to become frustrated with the whole puppy obedience training; you will discover that you will get better results if she does not fear you.
