Puppy Biting Are You Trying To Stop It?
One of the most exciting times for every pet owner is when they decide to get a new puppy. In fact every adult and child loves getting a new puppy; it can be one of the highlights of a child’s life.
However what most of us do not realize is that there is more to getting a new puppy than just getting all excited because we want to play and love on him/her. We fail to realize that we are going to now have to deal with issues such as puppy biting, house training a puppy and even learning how to potty train a puppy.
Yet most of us never take this into consideration when we are deciding whether or not to get a new pup for the household.
Puppy biting begins when a pup gets to be around 16 weeks old. They begin mouthing; just like a baby they begin getting new teeth that will help prepare them for adulthood. However as they begin mouthing they become very uncomfortable and therefore they will begin biting on almost anything that they can sink their teeth in.
At first most of us tend to think of this as funny; after all your new friend begin nibbling on your ears and licking your face. But eventually those once funny feeling bites; become painful that you find yourself avoiding playing with your pup.
It is important to understand that no matter how bad you do not want to begin implementing puppy obedience; you must begin early. Otherwise your new canine friend will begin doing whatever he or she wants.
As she becomes older you will begin to notice that your shoes have been eaten; the trash messed with, and even your remote control chewed up. So it is best that you begin dealing with puppy biting issues before they escalate into a huge problem and spiral out of control.
